Of course besides the quaint village ambiance of local shops and antiquing within minutes of the venue, there is the wonderful Port Towns of Urbanna and Deltaville within 20 minutes that offer majestic harbor views, colorful gift shops and historic interests.

You may want to rent a sailboat, go kayaking, or charter a fishing trip.  The freshest and best local seafood may be enjoyed at any number of excellent restaurants.
Just next door is the home of “Chesty Puller”, celebrated Marine war hero.  The Middlesex County Museum is a short walk  and has a special section with “Chesty Puller” memorabilia.

For those who have never seen our Nation’s Capitol, Washington D.C. is just 3 hours north, as well as the amazing Smithsonian Museum.

Maybe you want to visit the Atlantic ocean at one of the Nation’s top beach resorts, Virginia Beach, is 2 hours from Leafwood  and may be the ideal honeymoon location with pristine sandy beaches, beautiful seaside walkways and wonderful shops galore.
